Today our cross country team will have its 2nd meet at Clarkdale-Jerome School. It will begin at 4:00 pm. We will have transportation to the meet but there will be NO transportation back to DDB. You will need to pick your child up at Clarkdale-Jerome school. The meet will be done between 5:00-5:30. Please try and be on time when picking up your child. A parent or guardian will need to pick them up from the meet which will end around 5:15 to 5:45. Jerseys were passed out today. (Tops only) Please have your child wear black, gray, or navy blue shorts if possible! We would like to match and look like an organized team! There has been a change to our cross country schedule! Mr. Sandoval will now be coaching the cross country team on the DDB campus! After a little over a week of practices I believe it is in the best interest of our runners that we work out at our own campus. We were losing too much valuable time waiting for transportation to the CCS campus. The dates of the meets that were on the paper I sent home yesterday will stay the same. ******There will be no transportation home from Camp Verde. (8/29) You will need to pick your child up from Camp Verde High School.********
Practices:
We will continue to hold practices on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The new practice time will be from 3:30 to 4:30. You can pick up your child from Dr. Daniel Bright.

I will be utilizing the COCSD App the remainder of the year to communicate about athletics to you. This app is new to us but I believe it will be very beneficial to get the information you're looking for and get it quickly. I recommend downloading the app. I have attached the QR code to help with downloading the app.

Oak Creek School's Agriculture and Culinary Program is pleased to announce its partnership with Manzanita Outreach. Mrs. Ludden is utilizing the produce from the food share program to educate students on both the practical applications of the food provided through this assistance program and the health benefits associated with consuming fruits and vegetables. Recently, students prepared a vegetable and fruit juice using apples, grapes, and beets from the week's share box. The resulting juice was both delicious and nutritious. Thank you Manzanita Outreach for your commitment to our community and families.
Registration is open for DDB's 21st CCLC After School Clubs. It is first come, first served. We will more than likely have a waiting list, so get your students enrolled sooner rather than later. It is filling up! We love our clubs and can't wait to see your kiddos!!!

Hello DDB families!! Our 21st CCLC After School Clubs will begin on Monday, August 26th! We are so excited about our Fall Semester of clubs including Girls on the Run, Mountain Bike Club, Archery, Board Games, Barbie and so much more. Please keep an eye on your emails for information on Club choices and the link to sign up. Also below is the QR code for signing up. Our enrollment form will be open starting Monday, August 12th. We are grateful for the many ways our community supports our students. Recently, Low Income Student Aid, Inc. received a donation to be used for school supplies. They purchased common supplies, but also supplies that are always needed but don't get donated often. LISA provided financial support for Cottonwood Community School, Dr. Daniel Bright, and Oak Creek School. 50 low-income students per school were helped!
