Summer Meal Flier

Families in the Verde Valley can once again count on free nutritious meals for their children this summer, thanks to the Summer Food Service Program. All children and teens 18 years old and under are eligible to receive meals at no cost, with two convenient options available to meet different needs.

Option 1: Daily In-Person Meal Site
Prepared meals will be served in the Cottonwood Community School Cafeteria - 900 building. The cafeteria can be accessed by using Quail Trail and parking behind the Bus Barn. COCSD will post signs to help families find their way. Dates of operation are June 2, 2025 through July 25, 2025. This site will be closed on June 19, 2025 and July 4, 2025. Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 9:00 AM, and Lunch is served from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Families can bring children to eat meals in person, while enjoying activities in partnership with Yavapai County Community Health Services and MATFORCE.

Option 2: Grab-and-Go Bulk Meal Pick-Up
These packs are ideal for families with busy schedules or transportation challenges. The grab-and-go, five-day bulk meal packs—containing both breakfasts and lunches—will be available for pickup at the Mountain View Preparatory kitchen service entrance on Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on the following dates:

  • June 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

  • July 3rd, 10th, 17th, 25th

All meals are prepared by Sodexo, the district’s trusted food service provider, ensuring quality, nutrition, and variety.

This program is an essential part of the district’s effort to support children’s health and well-being throughout the summer months. Each family's participation and support keeps this program running strong each year. We can't wait to see you there!
