Hello MVP Families... we have a driver out for tomorrow. We will still run all routes, but Wild Burro students will be released an hour early tomorrow, 4/5/24 at 1:30pm to accommodate this issue. If you need to have your child transported by bus, please make any arrangements for an hour earlier drop-off time. If you prefer to have your child stay till the regular end of school and they usually ride the Wild Burro bus, please have other transportation arrangements for your student. Thank you, Daniel Maldonado - Transportation Director

I know you dread seeing any email from me on these routes. But this is a good one. Antelope tends to get overloaded when there is no 21st Century (Fridays, Special Events... ALL of May). So to help with that, we are moving the Vineyard Church @ Zalesky stop and the Thompson Rd & Garden Ln stop, aka the Bridgeport area, onto Big Horn. Hopefully this will alleviate any more issues with this situation. The spreadsheets have been changed to reflect this. Parents, view the new times on your SCHOOL website (not the district one) on your route's spreadsheet. If you have any questions, please call the Transportation Department. This change will go into effect beginning this Friday, March 22ndThank you for your understanding! - Daniel Maldonado, Transportation Director

Thank you to families and community members who came on National Agriculture Day to play Bingo to raise funds for Oak Creek School's Agriculture/Culinary program! They raised $955 for the program! Food sales raised were $258 and will be split between six 7th graders who volunteered to raise funds for their 2025 Washington D.C. school trip. 🌱

Good Morning MVP Families... please note that if your child takes the Wild Burro bus in the afternoon, there will be NO coverage today. The morning route will run as scheduled. Please find an alternate means to get your child home today. Tomorrow SHOULD run normally. Thank you for your patience. - Daniel Maldonado, Transportation Director

Between every two pines is a doorway to a new world." - John Muir
COCSD and Mingus Mountain Camp and Retreat Center joined forces to facilitate an enriching experience for our 7th/8th grade and 5th/6th grade students from four schools, guiding them towards "Finding the YETI" (You Belong, Everyone Matters, Tenacious Courage, Inclusion for All). This invaluable opportunity, provided at no cost, left an indelible mark on our students, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Over two nights at Mingus Mountain, our students forged connections with peers from across the district, embarked on thrilling mountain adventures, and discovered the incredible qualities within themselves.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mingus Mountain and Mr. King, whose visionary dream brought children into the embrace of nature. We are also deeply grateful to the families who entrusted their children to support our inaugural Winter Camp at Mingus Mountain!

Technology class at Oak Creek School serves over 200 students. Tech teacher, Mr. Wheeler, wanted a way for students to store their headphones to extend their longevity. Viola! Low Income Student Aid, Inc. was able to purchase this rack for headphone storage.
