I want to highlight the Archery Club and the volunteers who help. Our kids know how to safely and respectfully handle the equipment in this club because of our community members and leaders. We are so blessed we have such a great community. Our donors this year 1st is LISA they have asked "What can we do to help? They are even helping another school with their Archery program right now too. Sedona Schools donated gear which we are using at OC School. 7 Genesis compound bows, four Rinehart targets, Rim Country Archers president Steve Dockery personally went over each bow. They did any repairs needed and several members have donated money and building skills to make target stands. Mr Day teaches the kids to be part of a team support each other and show respect for each other. Most importantly to have a safe but fun time shooting Archery. Our students in Archery learn leadership through respect. Way to go!! What an outstanding fundraiser we held here at MVP to support families in South Sudan without access to clean water! The fourth graders spent time reading, learning, and researching about water. Through their experiences, they decided to raise funds to support an organization that provides Wells for families Who have to walk Miles in miles before they can get to a water source. Many of these water sources are filled with disease and contamination. They reached out to their MVP families and had a dollar drive to raise money. In the three weeks during the fundraiser, they were able to raise $693! All of these funds will be sent to waterforsouthsudan.org, which donates 100% towards the building of wells. Thank you so much for all who helped to donate. Congratulations to the four classes that brought in the most money: Mrs. Reay, fourth grade, Mrs. Sanchez, sixth grade, Mrs. Zienka, third grade, and Mrs. Ozuna third grade. We are so proud of our community. #mvp #mountainviewpreparatory #cocsd #cottonwoodoakcreekschools #lifechangingeducation #fundraiser #sudanwater #communityservice

Mrs. Michelle is busy teaching our learners important life skills during her Kid Snack club and Coloring and Life Skills club. Last week she taught them how to sort, fold, and hang clothing and then put their skills to the test. The kids had so much fun pairing socks and figuring out hangers. Some other things they are learning is dental hygiene and how to make healthy choices. Thanks for helping our learners gain important skills! #ccs #cottonwoodcommunityschool #lifechangingeducation #cocsd #cottonwoodoakcreekschools #cocsd #21stcclc #cclc #lifeskills

We regret to inform you that due to a shortage of bus drivers, we are facing challenges in maintaining our regular transportation services. As a result, we will no longer be able to transport students residing within a one-mile radius of our in-town schools, namely DDB and CCS, effective February 20th. We understand the impact this decision may have on your child's transportation to and from school. We are actively working to address the bus driver shortage and hope to reintroduce the affected routes. Additionally, there will be changes to the CCS Black Bear and Bobcat routes, which will be merged and redirected, and left under the Bobcat moniker. The DDB Mt. Lion and Mud Turtle routes will also be merged into the Mud Turtle route. We are currently finalizing the details of the new stops for these merged routes and will provide you with the information as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this challenging time. In the meantime, we urge you to make alternate transportation arrangements for your child before the specified end route date of February 20th. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and assure you that we are actively working to resolve the bus driver shortage to reinstate normal transportation services. Thank you for your understanding and patience, Daniel Maldonado Transportation Director
