🎉 COCSD Transportation Employee of the Month – November 🎉
Please join us in celebrating Ayman Algohary, one of our newer drivers who has been with us for almost a year—and has already earned this recognition in full.
Ayman’s professionalism, reliability, and genuine care for students have made an immediate impact. He shows up steady, prepared, and committed to safety, proving that you don’t need decades under your belt to deliver outstanding service.
Help us congratulate Ayman on this well-deserved honor! 👏🚌

This is a friendly reminder to please direct your tax credit donations towards MVP. Your contributions help support our athletics, academics, field trips, and so much more!

With Arizona’s temperamental weather, our Lost and Found is overflowing with jackets, lunchboxes, and water bottles. Please have your student check the Lost and Found, or stop by the office between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM to look for any missing items.
Reminder: All Lost and Found items are donated at the end of each quarter. This quarter’s items will be donated on December 19th.

Where horses, learning, and fun come together!
DDB's 21st CCLC After School Clubs are so proud of the EPONA Experience, with Ms Carlson and trained equine learning facilitator Laurie Brander. This amazing experience gives our students an incredible opportunity to grow. Each week, students visit Laurie’s training arena in Camp Verde and work hands-on with her amazing horses. They guide the horses through obstacle courses, building leadership, communication, and a deeper awareness of the world around them.
Horses are phenomenal teachers, and the growth we see in students who complete the EPONA program is truly inspiring! 🐴💫
A huge thank you to Ms. Carlson for your wonderful leadership and dedication to this program—you make such a difference! ❤️

🚍✨ BIG NEWS, COCSD! ✨🚍
Our K–12 Crosswalk GPS program has officially been approved by Arizona DPS for our school buses! 🎉🚌
This means families will soon have an easier, safer, and more reliable way to track bus routes and stay in the loop. 👍💛
We’re gearing up to roll this out very soon—so keep an eye out for updates! 👀📲
Exciting things are on the way! 🌟

Our first round of SMART Snacks at Oak Creek School was a huge success! 🎉 Students loved the tasty, healthy option, and it’s exciting to see them choosing foods that fuel their minds and bodies.
A special shoutout to Mrs. Ludden’s agriculture/culinary students, who helped prepare this week’s snack and will be lending their skills each week. What an awesome way to learn, lead, and serve! 👩🍳🌱
And of course, a big thank you to the LISA organization for generously funding this initiative. Your support shows just how much our partners care about the health and wellness of our students—and we’re incredibly grateful! 💚

We were honored to welcome the Arizona State FFA Officer Team to Verde Tech today! Our students had an amazing time participating in hands-on leadership activities, team-building challenges, and learning more about the opportunities FFA offers.
A huge thank you to the officers for spending the day inspiring our students with their energy, encouragement, and passion for agricultural education.

Now through December 31, 2025, we’re collecting dry pet food only to help support the animals at our local Humane Society.
We are accepting dry food donations for:
🐶 Dogs
🦴 Puppies
🐱 Cats
🐾 Kittens
Every donation makes a difference for an animal in need. Thank you for helping us give back this season!

🎉 Celebrating Katherine Spendlove! 🎉
Katherine Spendlove, our incredible Transportation Department Secretary and Communications lead, is truly the heart of our team. Every road in this department goes through her! With her amazing ability to have all the information we need at the tip of her fingers—or with just a thought—she makes our office run smoother and more efficiently every single day.
Her caring nature shines not only with her co-workers but also with every student who walks through our doors. When she’s away, her absence is felt both professionally and personally. As the first voice heard on the phone, Kat always represents our department with readiness, guidance, and a willingness to help in any way possible.
We are so grateful for everything Kat does for our drivers, our department, and our district. Thank you, Kat, for your dedication, your heart, and your incredible work! 💙✨

Our fourth graders at OCS had an incredible day at the Science Vortex! 🧪🔬
Students explored animal adaptations and got hands-on with science as they broke into groups to tackle different projects. From discovering how animals survive in their environments to experimenting with creative problem-solving, they were fully engaged and learning every step of the way.
We love seeing our students’ curiosity come alive through experiences like this! 🌟🧠🦎

Fun Friday brought out the imagination in full force at MVP!
Our Art class rolled right into creativity with a couple of “car shows” made entirely from paper rolls. Of course, our artists didn’t stop there—airplanes and submarines joined the lineup, because when kids get going, they build a whole world.
It’s always inspiring to see what they come up with when they’ve got time, space, and encouragement to create. MVP kids never disappoint! 🚗✈️🌊🎨

Families, here’s your friendly reminder that supporting our schools is as easy as 1, 2, 3! 🎒📚
Arizona’s Public School Tax Credit lets individuals contribute up to $200 and married couples up to $400 each year — all as a dollar-for-dollar reduction on your state taxes. 💵✨
Your contribution fuels the good stuff: extracurricular programs, field trips, athletics, clubs, and more that keep our students growing, exploring, and staying engaged. 🚌🏃♂️🎨
Every bit makes a real difference. Thanks for helping lift up Cottonwood-Oak Creek students and keeping our community strong! 💙🌟

High preforming school earning a "B" letter grade.
Congratulations!

This past weekend we headed to Camp Verde for the Girls on the Run 5K, and our girls absolutely crushed it! 💪✨ It was amazing watching them prove to themselves that they can do hard things.
Huge shoutout to Ms. Sam and Mrs. Robyn, our amazing GOTR coaches here at CCS, and to all the wonderful coaches across COCSD who make this program possible. 💛
We love partnering with programs like Girls on the Run because they empower young women, build confidence, and fit perfectly with what we aim to do in our after-school clubs — helping students grow, connect, and shine.
So proud of these girls and this incredible community!
