Celebrating Service & Planning Ahead: Board Meeting Highlights 👏📚
The MVP Cheer Club kicked off last night’s Governing Board meeting by leading the 🇺🇸 Pledge of Allegiance!
We also proudly recognized two incredible retirees 🎉
👏 Ms. Maria Moncibaez – 28 years of service
👏 Mr. Jose Velazquez – 40 years of service
Thank you both for your dedication to our students and schools!
The Board held an important discussion on a potential 2026 bond to support future district needs 🏫 This included early conversations around safety upgrades, facility improvements, technology, and long-term planning needs.
Key needs discussed included:
🔐 Safety upgrades (keyless entry, intercom systems)🔧 Aging infrastructure (parking lots, HVAC, lighting)
💻 Technology improvements (Chromebooks, interactive boards)
🚰 Well system concerns at select schools
🪑 Classroom upgrades (furniture, carpet)
♿ ADA compliance
Next step ➡️ A May study session with experts to review bond capacity and district priorities.
We appreciate the thoughtful discussion as we plan for the future of our schools! 💙
